Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a slow, gorgeous adventure game that trusts you to explore. You wander a village at dusk, talk to its residents, and piece together what happened here through environmental clues and gentle puzzles. There's no combat and no timers — just curiosity and atmosphere.

The hand-drawn art and soft soundtrack do a lot of heavy lifting, but the writing holds up its end. Every character has something quietly sad or funny to reveal, and the puzzles are woven into the world rather than bolted on. Tapping to interact is smooth, and the map makes backtracking painless.

It's short — maybe four hours — but it stuck with me longer than games ten times its length. If you want something calm and beautiful, this is it.
