Ironhold Command

Most mobile strategy games either drown you in menus or turn into idle timers. Ironhold Command does neither. It's a compact RTS where you defend a mountain fortress across escalating waves, managing resources, unit production, and tower placement all at once. The touch controls are genuinely well thought out — drag to place, tap to redirect, pinch to see the whole map.

What kept me hooked was the puzzle-like feel of each level. There's usually one efficient solution buried in there, and the satisfaction of finding it is real. Enemy compositions force you to rethink your setup constantly, so you can't lean on a single strategy for long.

The difficulty curve is steep around the midgame, and I lost a few missions before adjusting. But it never felt unfair, just demanding. A must-try if you like strategy that respects your brain.
